A guided tour of the school. Longridge Towers was designed by JC Bucker and completed in 1879 for Sir Hubert Jerningham and his wife Lady Annie Jerningham. The main house incorporated many features seen by Sir Hubert on his travels abroad and cost the then enormous sum of £145,000. Following the death of Sir Hubert in April 1914 the house was mothballed and since then has been used as a school except for a short time in the 1940s when it was a hotel.
