Secret Spittal – who, what, when and where?

St Paul's United Reformed Church , Main Street, Spittal, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, TD15 1QY

Take yourself on a walk around Spittal and find out about some of the properties and buildings there both past and present.

Spittal was once a seaside resort but also a place with an industrial past. Walk round and look for posters in windows, on a gate or lamp post with anecdotal and hearsay information from local residents, newspapers of the time, censuses and directory with extra historical facts thrown in for good measure. Lots of information has been collected already and published in two volumes but there are still a few questions. Can you be the one to answer them or can you provide us with more information? Talk to the researchers and pick up a walk leaflet from the Information Point in Main Street, Spittal as well as a leaflet on an Edible Spittal themed walk.
